Electronic, cinematic music from Brno, Czech Republic — returning with their first full-length album in six years.
After a successful European tour in 2015, Himalayan Dalai Lama released their debut album LAMA in 2016, earning a nomination for the Czech Anděl Awards. The band has performed at renowned festivals including Eurosonic Noorderslag, Colours of Ostrava, Grape Festival, and Rock for People, while sharing the stage with artists such as GusGus.
Their second album, Orange Colored Rose Leaves, expanded the band's artistic vision through collaborations with cellist Terezie Kovalová and led to an increasing focus on interdisciplinary projects. In recent years, the band has composed music for theatre productions, collaborated with the Brno National Theatre, created music for Greenpeace's Soundtrack for Planet Earth, and worked with partners including Technics, Freshlabels, and choreographer Jiří Bubeníček. Most recently, they created music for the contemporary circus production Radiant, presented by Holektiv at Jatka78.
Now, after six years since their last full-length release, Himalayan Dalai Lama returns with a new album, bringing together the band's signature electronic sound, cinematic influences, and years of artistic exploration into their most ambitious work to date.
